What's the difference between proofreading and editing?
Proofreading is the final check before the 'print' button gets hit and involves looking for last minute errors – spelling and typing mistakes, inconsistencies in headings, numbering, etc.

Editing is more in depth and can involve removing, rearranging or adding large chunks of a document, sourcing images and legal and copyright considerations as well as the standard spelling, punctuation and grammar checks.

And what is ghost-writing?
Ghost writing is taking your words, keeping your ‘voice’ but polishing the text up so that it reads well and makes the message clear.
